Charlie Lagond is a world-class musician, woodwind player, and educator whose career spans live performance, Broadway, film, and television. As a performer, he has worked alongside legends including Chet Baker, Buddy Rich, Bill Watrous, Woody Herman, Chuck Mangione, Natalie Cole, Al Green, The Spinners, Jackson Five, The Temptations, Kid Creole & the Coconuts, Omar Hakim, Steve Gadd, Bernard Purdie, Josh Dion, Will Lee, Oz Noy, and many more. His credits include Broadway productions (Grease, Dreamgirls), film and television recording sessionspresidential inaugural balls, and even a Command Performance for Princess Diana.

In 2002, Charlie co-founded Lagond Music School, where he continues to serve as Artistic Director. The school was one of the first after-school music programs of its kind, applying comprehensive training to the study of contemporary music. His visionary methodology has guided middle and high school students—as well as adults—toward achieving their personal goals, from college admissions and audition preparation to professional performances and national tours.

Charlie has authored a contemporary applied theory book with worksheets and accompanying repertoire that forms the foundation of Lagond’s college prep musicianship program. He has personally mentored hundreds of students and guided thousands more into the world of music. He also cultivated and hand-picked a high-level faculty to broaden the reach of this education to all instruments. His latest initiative, Power Through Performance, provides musicians with disabilities industry-level training and employment opportunities in the music industry.

Mr. Lagond’s private lesson fee schedule is based upon lesson length of 45 or 60 minutes and ranges from $125 to $150 per session.

His group band workshop fee schedule is based upon 90 to 150 - minute sessions ranging from $75 to $120 per session.
